Choose Your Qualification Route:

✅ 1. Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement

For those who want to assess in classroom or workshop environments.

You’ll cover:

  • Unit 1: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment

  • Unit 3: Assessing Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding

You’ll need access to learners on a vocational qualification (e.g. Level 2 Gym or Exercise to Music).

✅ 2. Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment

For managers or professionals who want to understand assessment without delivering it.

You’ll cover:

  • Unit 1: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment

This option doesn’t require access to learners but does not qualify you to assess.

Assessment Methods

  • Worksheets

  • Portfolio of evidence

  • Video Observation (for practical units)

You Will Qualify With:

  • YMCA Awards Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (QCF)
    OR

  • YMCA Awards Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (QCF)

What You’ll Need:

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in the area you wish to assess

  • Minimum 2 years of practical experience in that area

  • Access to learners (if choosing the full assessor qualification)

  • ​

Registration

  • Available Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and selected weekends, 10:00–17:00

  • In-person at The Gym Way, London W1H 7HB

  • Flexi/distance learners can register online

  • Submit full application: Name, Date of Birth, Home Address, Signature

Course Price: £350

  • Deposit: £150 (required to register)

  • Remaining Balance: £200

​

Flexible Payment Options:

  • Pay balance over 1, 2, or 3 months:

    • 1 month: £200

    • 2 months: £100 x 2

    • 3 months: £67 x 3

Certificates are issued only once the full balance is paid.
We provide a confirmation letter of completion if needed in the meantime.
